Moths can be expensive guests!
Moths are known to damage knitwear, cotton, silk and carpets. You can tell that moths have invaded your home when you notice holes in your clothes and bald patches in the carpet.
Clothes moth larvae are seen in wardrobes, drawers, and cupboards, especially when you store unwashed items.
An infestation may persist during the cold weather although their activity is low key and dormant. The more extended larvae stage is the most damaging part of their life cycle.
Carpet moth damage may be discovered in a carpets and rugs. They tend to target wool carpets at their larvae stage. You may notice moth damage in locations such as along the skirting boards and under furniture that hasn't been moved for long periods of time.
Moths lay eggs in the dark, infrequently used and undisturbed areas of the house. However, these may be hard to detect.

How do we control moths?
Our treatment programme for moths consists of three visits. Our technician will initially talk through the problems you are experiencing and explain what our initial treatment entails. He will then carry out a thorough inspection of your premises prior to any treatment and assess the level and extent of the infestation.
Treatments consist of tracing the source of infestation, removing and destroying any infested materials and then applying a residual insecticide to infested areas. Additionally, if needed we would also treat with an ultra-low volume application of insecticide.
Please note
that before any treatment commences the property has to be prepared for treatment and full instructions are given at the time of booking.
We continue to support our customers on an ongoing basis. Our follow up visits are carried out at weekly intervals after the initial treatment and are exactly the same as the first visit.
